NW Machine Knitters

An added feature of NW Machine Knitters – Zoom Knit In Sessions!  In commitment to our mission stated below, these sessions will expand our outreach and sharing. Here are the criteria:

• Regularly scheduled Zoom sessions of about an hour.

• These are hands-on sessions: you will be sitting at your knitting machine or actively working on a machine knitting item

• Each meeting participant must set up her Zoom camera so we can all see the knitting machine in action, or whatever the participant is working on

• Each meeting participant must be working on something machine knitting related,
  such as:

  • Machine knitting a garment piece

  • Trying out different stitches/yarns

  • Trying a technique, such as a new cast on

  • Seaming a machine knit garment, either by hand or by linker or sewing machine

  • Attaching/making bands, including by crochet

• Each meeting participant must be willing to share and discuss what she is doing, and participate in the sharing and discussion by others

• Each meeting participant is welcome to ask questions of the others to help her achieve whatever it is she is actively working on, thus we all become the “teachers”

The “Fine Print” –

• Presently scheduled for the 2nd Thursday of each month, 2-4 pm  PST

• A Zoom link will be sent to members

• Sessions will not be recorded

• There is no “leader” or “presenter” – each participant is the “teacher”

• Members only

Since this is a new aspect of our group, expect changes and refinements.
